Lucknow, 4 July: The Bundelkhand Expressway, which is 296 kilometers long, has been finished and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi sometime, next week, said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here on Monday.
The Ganga Expressway is moving quickly, according to the CM. Addressing a press conference to mark the completion of the first 100 days of the Yogi government’s second term, the chief minister stated that Uttar Pradesh was progressing toward becoming the country’s economic growth engine and realizing the goal of achieving a $1 trillion economy in the next five years to contribute significantly to the Prime Minister’s vision of a $5 trillion economy for the country.
CM Yogi stated that the people of UP have trust in him and his team, which is being depicted in elections because of the PM’s leadership and care for the people, particularly the poor and disadvantaged, as well as the government’s development-oriented policies and initiatives .
Yogi stated that shortly after taking office for the second time in a succession, his cabinet picked ten sectors to propel the state’s growth, and project presentations were given by ministries and related departments. Following that, PM Modi announced projects worth more than Rs 80,000 crore to expedite the state’s growth. Yogi stated that in his second term’s first budget of Rs 6.15 lakh crore, which is double the state’s budget in 2017, 95 of the 130 commitments made in the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra were taken up and attempts are being made to fulfill them.
Yogi also stated that the initiatives have resulted in a significant increase in investments in the state, and that the government plans to provide direct and indirect employment to 25 lakh people over the next five years, noting that 10,000 youths have been hired by the government in the last 100 days. Yogi pointed out that the UP jobless rate has reduced from 18 percent in 2016 to 2.9 percent, according to government estimates.
In terms of farmers and the agriculture sector, Yogi stated that Rs 47,265 crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of 2.55 crore farmers as part of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and Rs 12,535 crore has been given to sugarcane growers.
Yogi stated that a crop loan of Rs 4,635 crore has been provided to 8 lakh farmers, and that irrigation plans for 21 lakh hectares of land have been formulated. According to CM Yogi, one lakh more beneficiaries have been added to the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, and the government has enhanced the pension to Rs 1,000 for aged and poor women, differently-abled people, and widows. Yogi stated that Rs 400 crore has been allocated to 82,520 SHGs as a revolving and community investment assistance fund. He went on to say that the government hopes to plant 35 crore saplings in the state over the next five years, and that 75 saplings will be planted in each village on Independence Day.
Furthermore, CM Yogi stated that UP was on track to become a data center hub with the construction of four data centres. The data centers will employ 4,000 young people. Yogi stated that infrastructure development in UP was in full gear, with new expressways, motorways, and airports being built, as well as the creation of industrial corridors. According to Yogi, UP has also effectively managed infections such as the new coronavirus, kala-azar, malaria, and encephalitis. Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak were also present, as was Minister of Jal Shakti and Disaster Management Swatantra Dev Singh.
