Lucknow, 13 November: A police personnel namely Satish Kumar Singh, posted in PAC IV battalion in Lucknow was shot dead late on Sunday night.
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot, along with the forensic team, investigated the spot and sent the body for the autopsy.
Giving information about the incident on Monday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South Vineet Jaiswal said that at around 2.30 am in the night, the police received information on number 112 that a person had been shot and injured at the gate outside his house near Manas Nagar Colony. Police reached the spot and took the injured to Lokbandhu Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead. The forensic team and police officers inspected the spot.
Police have identified the deceased as Satish Kumar Singh, posted as quartermaster in PAC IV battalion in Prayagraj. The family members have filed a case against unknown people accusing them of murdering their son. Five police teams have been engaged in investigating the murder case.
