New Delhi, 16 December: The Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra arrived in the Parliament premises on Monday with a bag written ‘Palestine’. The Bharatiya Janata Party has reacted strongly to this.

The party said that the Gandhi family has always been roaming around with a bag of appeasement on its shoulders.

The Congress MP has previously raised the issue of action being taken by Israeli forces in Gaza, Palestine. The bag has a picture of watermelon, which has emerged as a symbol of Palestine solidarity.

Congress leader Shama Mohammed shared a picture on X and said that Priyanka Gandhi has shown her solidarity with Palestine by carrying a special bag. This is a sign of commitment to compassion, justice and humanity. She clearly says that no one can violate the Geneva Convention.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and spokesperson Sambit Patra has taken a dig at Priyanka for showing solidarity with Palestine in a press conference.

He said that since Nehru’s time, the Gandhi family has been carrying the bag of appeasement on their shoulders, they have never carried the bag of patriotism on their shoulders.

Priyanka Gandhi says how can someone else decide what we should wear. However, at the same time she also raised the issue of atrocities on minority Hindus in Bangladesh and demanded action from the government.
