Kanpur, 16 October: The Meteorological Department has forecast that due to light cloudy sky for the next five days, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at local level along with strong winds between October 16 to 18 around Kanpur division, Dr S.N. Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur informed on Monday.
Dr Pandey said that the maximum temperature on Monday is 35.2 degrees Celsius, which is (2.7) degrees Celsius more than before, while the minimum temperature is 20.0 degrees Celsius, which is (0.4) degrees Celsius more than before. However, the maximum relative humidity was 84 percent and the minimum relative humidity reached 38 percent. The average wind speed was 2 kilometers per hour and the wind direction was south-west.

Dr Pandey said that the withdrawal line of South-West Monsoon is Forbesganj, Malda, Latitude 24° North, Longitude 89° East, Latitude 20° North, Longitude 89° East, Visakhapatnam, Nalgonda, Raichur, Vengurla and Latitude 16° North and Passing through longitude 70 degrees east.
Dr Pandey added further, the western disturbance is over Jammu division and adjoining Pakistan. The induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab. Another western disturbance is on Afghanistan. A cyclonic circulation is visible over the Southeast Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep and adjoining parts of Kerala, under its influence a low pressure area is expected to develop by October 17 which may further intensify and move west-northwest and can move forward in direction. A cyclonic circulation is over Tamil Nadu coast and adjoining areas.
