Prayagraj: 3 arrested including kingpin in leakage of Lekhpal exam papers

Prayagraj, 31st July: In the main examination of Lekhpal held on Sunday, three members including the kingpin of the gang who copied from Prayagraj have been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) Prayagraj Unit from Phaphamau area whereas in the said examination, a total of 18 persons including solver gang leaders and candidates have been arrested by the STF from all over the state.

Giving information jointly, District Magistrate (DM) Sanjay Kumar Khatri and SSP Shailesh Kumar Pandey said that the main accused by the STF field unit, Prayagraj team is Vijay Kant Patel, son of Indrajit Patel, resident of Atanpur, police station Bahria. Two of its associates Dinesh Kumar Yadav son Munni Lal Yadav resident of Rajepur, Bahria and Sonu Kumar son Chhote Lal Pasi resident of Sarai Aziz police station Bahria have been arrested.

During interrogation, Vijay Kant Patel has told that Rs 10 lakh each was taken from seven candidates for the Lekhpal examination. By giving bluetooth ear bird and bluetooth device to all, candidate Pushpendra was sent to the examination center Uday Pratap Inter College Block B Bhojubir Varanasi (arrested) and Jai Singh Patel to Smt. Maya Devi Balika Inter College Govindnagar Kanpur (arrested) at their examination center and told that the device As soon as the question is kept on and the paper is out, the answer of all the questions will be told from the different mobile of all the candidates through their bluetooth device. Pushpendra has been arrested from Kanpur on the information of Vijay Kant Patel.

DM told that copying and education mafia Dr. KL Patel’s close friend Sandeep Patel son Omkar Nath Patel resident of Atanpur Bahria after receiving the paper and answer key through different mobiles of the candidates, Vijay Kant along with his associate Dinesh Kumar Yadav and Sonu Kumar Pasi. A hundred meters before Soraon Road gas godown, paper solver was being done sitting in his Brezza car UP 70 FZ 6953. 15 bluetooth ear birds, 6 nos sim card, 6 nos ear bird cell, 9 nos bluetooth device card, total 10 nos mobile, 1 pan card, 1 DL and 620 cash have been recovered from their possession.

DM Khatri further apprised that Vijay Kant Patel has worked as a teacher in copying and education mafia Dr. KL Patel’s ITI College, Mubarakpur for about three years and from there got involved in this business with him.

β€œIt has also admitted to the Rural Postal Service about a month ago by taking money from five people. Whose verification has been done, about which inquiry is being done,” he added.
