Prayagraj, February 18: The Allahabad High Court has refused to interfere with the petition filed in contempt of the order passed in 2015 on the ban on noise pollution from the temple-mosque.
The court said that it appears to be a sponsored petition. Assembly elections are going on across the state. Contempt petition has been filed to affect communal harmony.
The court will not be a party in trying to disturb communal harmony. In this case there is no need to intervene.
The court has dismissed the petition for implementation of the order to stop noise pollution.
Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal has given this order on the contempt petition of Islamuddin.
In the petition, a demand was made to punish Rampur District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mander and others on charges of contempt.
The petitioner said that on his public interest litigation (PIL), the High Court has directed to take action under the law on the noise pollution spreading in the society from the temple-mosque in 2015 which is not being followed. More than the standard noise pollution is being spread by installing loud speakers in the temple and mosque resulting in people are facing a lot of trouble.
