At the same time, the meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet will also be held here on January 22. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to complete all the necessary preparations in this regard on time.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with the officials in the Maha Kumbh Mela area on Sunday and directed to further improve the crowd management and communication system in the Maha Kumbh Mela area on the occasion of the upcoming Republic Day, Mauni Amavasya and Vasant Panchami.
The Chief Minister has said that strong security arrangements should be made during “Amrit Snan” on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya and Vasant Panchami. In view of crowd management, traffic on the pontoon bridge should be kept one-way on these special days.
Chief Minister has directed that the entire fair area should be declared a no vehicle zone on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya and Vasant Panchami. Along with this, the Chief Minister has instructed all the officials that the faith of the devotees should be fully respected.
In this meeting held in the ICCC auditorium, the Chief Minister said that according to the current situation, about one and a half crore devotees are present in the fair premises. So far more than 07 crore people have received the holy benefit of Triveni bath.
Chief Minister told the officials that a sea of โโfaith had swelled on Paush Purnima and Makar Sankranti, it was pleasant that every visiting devotee went away from here satisfied. Now on the occasion of the upcoming Mauni Amavasya, 08-10 crore people are expected to arrive. Before this, a large number of people will also arrive on Republic Day. In such a situation, there should be strong arrangements for the convenience and safety of the people. Be it electricity and drinking water supply, toilets and their cleanliness, maintenance of pontoon bridges, or the strategy for crowd movement, there should be good preparation at every point.
The Chief Minister also pointed out the need to further improve the mobile network in the fair area. He said that whether it is the media and police or the common devotees, everyone needs mobile network. In view of Mauni Amavasya, it is necessary to further improve the tower capacity and coverage. The Chief Minister directed that on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya and Vasant Panchami, efforts should be made so that the people coming from whichever direction can take bath at the nearest ghat there.
While communicating with the railway officials, the Chief Minister said that the railways have a big role in creating order. Everyone has experienced Makar Sankranti. After bathing, the devotees want to go to their destination, so the fair special trains should be run throughout the day.
Chief Minister said that it would be better if there are separate railway stations for routine trains and fair special trains. It would be appropriate to cancel or divert the routine trains as far as possible.
While giving instructions to improve the infrastructure and other basic facilities in various sectors, the Chief Minister said that there is a need to improve the arrangements for drinking water supply and toilets in the sectors related to Prayagraj. Complete care should be taken that the Kalpvasis do not face any problem. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to light bonfires at different places in the fair area, and also said to ensure the safety of the ghats. Jal Police and Ganga Doot should remain active.
