Muzaffarnagar, 12 Feb: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that past governments in the state engaged in nepotism and corruption, appointing family to government jobs over merit. The chief minister, who launched the ‘Gram Parikrama Yatra’ from Shuktirth Bangar, claimed that the state’s youth had been robbed throughout the previous administrations’ tenures.
He stated that the state is currently recruiting around 60,000 civil police constables without prejudice. Adityanath met with beneficiaries of several government projects, stressing that more than 99 percent of last year’s sugarcane price had been paid. ?Out of the 119 sugar mills in the state, 105 make payments to sugarcane growers within 10 days. We are applying pressure to the remaining mills.
The double-engine government is determined to ensure that hardworking ‘Annadata’ farmers receive their dues on time,” Adityanath stated.
“Our state saw everyday riots under past regimes. The aftermath of the Muzaffarnagar riots persisted for months. What the double-engine government promises, it fulfills. In 2017, we promised you security. Today, the entire state is safe and moving toward prosperity,” he said.
According to Adityanath, Muzaffarnagar is now well-known for its organic jaggery.
“The sweetness of our jaggery resonates not only across the state but also nationwide and globally,” he went on to say. The chief minister stated that the farmers were the primary cause for the creation of the BJP administration in the state, as they are the party’s top priority.
He emphasized the ongoing ‘Gram Parikrama Yatra’, which is organized by the BJP Kisan Morcha and revolves on nine resolves. These resolutions include water conservation, digital payments, cleanliness initiatives, advocating for local and domestic tourism, organic farming, promoting millets, boosting rural sports, and giving healthcare and help to economically disadvantaged farmers, he stated. This yatra will increase awareness among farmers and locals about these resolutions.
Several significant personalities attended the ceremony, including BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Sanjeev Kumar Baliyan, among others.
