Varanasi, 30 October: President Droupadi Murmu is likely to be present in Kashi’s famous Dev Deepawali. President Murmu will witness the twinkling lights of lakhs of diyas on both sides of the Ganga Ghats, colorful electric strings, fireworks, special laser lights on the shore and the marvelous Ganga Aarti.
During this, Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present.
Administrative preparations have also started in view of the arrival of the President. The state ministers have also inspected the preparations on the banks of the Ganges with a motor boat. In view of the VVIP arrival in the city, security arrangements are also being made. According to sources, the President will reach Babatpur airport on November 7, in a special Air Force aircraft.
Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Adityanath will receive the President. From here the President will rest for some time in the guest house after landing at the temporary helipad of the Banaras Rail Engine Factory. After this, amidst tight security, riding on a ghat cruise, she will see the Dev Deepawali on the banks of the Ganges. The President will return to Delhi on November 8, after spending the night at the guesthouse.
This time on Dev Deepawali, the main event will be held at Rajghat. Dev Deepawali evening Deepmala will be organised by making a stage at Rajghat. From here, arrangements will be made to show the unique shade of the divine and grand Dev-Diwali adorning the ghats of Kashi to the guests coming from country and abroad through cruises and boats. The budget has also been released from the state government for the preparations for Dev Deepawali. Approval has been given to spend about five crore rupees to make this event grand. The Water Police has prepared a special blue print for the operation of boats on Dev Deepawali.
