Lucknow, 17 July: Five Uttar Pradesh MLAs will vote outside the state during Monday’s election for the country’s new President.
Assistant Returning Officer and Special Secretary to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Brij Bhushan Dubey, stated, “Five MLAs chose to vote from outside the state. While four MLAs planned to vote in New Delhi, another MLA planned to vote in Kerala.”
He also stated that information on Monday’s voting had been distributed to all 403 state legislators. “We have made all necessary arrangements in Vidhan Bhawan’s Tilak Hall. A polling station has been put up for voting,β he stated.
Rajiv Singh Thakur, an Election Commission observer, has reviewed the polling arrangements.
