Prime Video on Friday released the much-awaited trailer of its horror series ‘The Village’. The action-packed story is inspired by the horror novel of the same name by Ashwin Srivatsangam, Vivek Rangachari and Shamik Dasgupta, which depicts the horror in vivid detail.
Originally this novel was published by Yali Dream Works. The fast-paced horror series takes the audience to Kattiyal village in the desolate hinterland of Tamil Nadu, where Gautham and his family encounter a creature more terrifying than they had ever imagined in their wildest dreams.
Studio Shakti’s production ‘The Village’ series is produced by BS Radhakrishnan. Milind Rau has written and composed it along with Dheeraj Vaidya and Deepti Govindarajan. Popular Tamil actor Arya is playing the lead role in the series along with Divya Pillai, Azhiya, Aadukalam Naren, George Mayan, PN Sunny, Muthukumar K, Kalairani SS, John Kokken, Pooja, V. Jayaprakash, Arjun Chidambaram and Thalaivasal Vijay. Like versatile artists are included.
The series is set to premiere on Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi dubbed and with English subtitles.
The trailer of the series ‘The Village’ introduces the audience to a family of three who are about to set out on a road trip. However, all their excitement and thrill is soon dashed as they go through a heart-wrenching montage and enter a terrifying village where death can happen at any moment.
Arya, who plays the role of Gautam, joins forces with three locals in an attempt to rescue his wife and daughter who have been captured by the mutants present there. The trailer then takes a turn in the horror direction as a group of greedy creatures set out to reclaim something long forgotten in the village.
This story full of horror and shivers, takes the audience on a chilling journey through a terrifying forest, mind-blowing tunnels and a desolate village. Will Gautam be able to save his family and escape from that scary village alive.
This heart-pounding, hair-raising trailer not only forces the audience to bite their nails in fear, but also increases their curiosity about the series’ upcoming launch on November 24 on Prime Video.
