Lucknow, 16 Dec: Principal Secretary Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship M. Devraj has issued a government order regarding monitoring and supervision of centralized and state funded schemes run under the Skill Development Mission (SDM).
According to the government order, in order to make the short-term skill training programs conducted under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission more effective, the Joint Director (Trainee/Apprentice) of Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department posted in all the divisions has the authority to monitor and supervise.
The Divisional Joint Director (Trainee/Apprentice) will regularly monitor and supervise all the programs run under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission in all the districts of his division and from time to time the desired reports will be sent to the Mission Director, Uttar Pradesh. They will send report to Skill Development Mission, Lucknow, Divisional Commissioner and Government.
The Principal Secretary said that under Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, Lucknow, various centralized and state funded schemes are being run to provide employment and entrepreneurial short-term skill training in all the districts of the state.
He apprised that District Program Management Unit (DPMU) has been constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate for monitoring and supervision of skill training programs and District Coordinator and MIS Manager (District Skill Manager) have been deployed at the district level for the operation and execution of various works and activities.
