Varanasi, May 25: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and SP MP Dimple have reached the city for a mega road show in support of Indi-Alliance candidate Ajay Rai on Saturday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
Both leaders were warmly welcomed by Congress and SP workers together at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Babatpur.Ā From the airport, Priyanka Gandhi and Dimple Yadav left for the temple town in a convoy of vehicles. Both will try to woo voters by passing through two assembly constituencies through a road show in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political stronghold. This is the first road show in Banaras, in which Priyanka Gandhi and SP MP Dimple Yadav are doing it together.
Both will try to create an atmosphere for the Indi alliance through a four kilometer long road show. Both will seek the blessings of Mata Kushmanda located at Durgakund, then the road show will start.Ā
The road show will start from Durga Temple and will go to Manas Temple, Tridev Temple, Sankatmochan Temple, Ravidas Gate, Lanka Mahamana statue, Trauma Center, Bhagwanpur, Chittupur, Sant Ravidas Temple at Seer Govardhan.
After paying obeisance at the threshold of Sant Ravidas, both will leave for the airport. In the four kilometer long road show, they will be welcomed by party workers at various places. At some places there will be flower showers and at some places aarti will be performed.
