Lucknow, 21 December: The Madrasa Board suggested to change the day of holiday in Madrasas to Sunday instead of Friday in a meeting held in Lucknow .

However, no decision has been taken on this issue. Madrassa Board Chairman Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed said that people associated with Madrassas have been asking for a long time that holiday should be made Sunday instead of Friday.

Such a suggestion also came up in Tuesday’s meeting but many people opposed this suggestionl. I or the board just had to listen to all the suggestions. whatever decision will be taken on these suggestions will be taken in the upcoming meeting of the Madarsa Board, he said.

In the meeting held at the Minority Welfare Auditorium, fifth floor of Indira Bhavan, educationists associated with madrassas made many important suggestions, including provision of appeal against punishment in Madrassa Regulation 2016, transfer of madrassa teachers, definition of leave rules, implementation of a uniform in madrassas.They suggested to put these before the Madrasa Education Council.

In the meeting, regarding the suspension, expulsion and appeal of madrassa employees and teachers, suggestions were made on making rules keeping the interest of teachers safe, taking the final decision on the action to be taken at the level of the District Minority Welfare Officer, from the registrar’s level, etc. .

The educationists gave their suggestions on 19 points in the meeting. Keeping all suggestions in the upcoming meeting of the board, the proposal will be sent to the government.
