Punjab: CBI raids ‘AAP’ MLA’s residences

Chandigarh, May 07: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted multiple raids at the premises of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Punjab’s Amargarh in bank fraud case. In the process that lasted for several hours, many important documents have been seized in the CBI.

AAP’s MLA from Amargarh, Jaswant Singh Gajanmajra, defeated Simranjit Singh Mann, the extremist leader of Punjab and president of Shiromani Akali Dal, Amritsar, during the assembly elections. Even during the assembly session, the opposition surrounded Gajjanmajra in the case of bank fraud.

Meanwhile, the CBI, taking action in the fraud of about 40 crores with Bank of Baroda, on Saturday afternoon raided the MLA’s premises in Amargarh, Sangrur and Malerkotla in Punjab.

Although the CBI has not arrested the MLA so far, but while recording the statements of his employees and family members, they have seized many important documents.
