R- Day celebrations: Ayodhya’s Ram temple to Covid vaccines development: Here’s what will showcase this year

New Delhi, 22 January: A total of 32 tableaux will be displayed this time in the Republic Day celebrations, out of which 17 will be linked to the states and union territories and 15 to the central government ministries and departments.

As a main attraction, this time there will be tableaux related to Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh, reform of labour laws and development of Covid vaccine.

In the press conference held on Friday at the Rangshala Camp in Delhi Cantt, Public Relations Officer of the Defense Department, Nampibau Marinemai gave information about the exhibits this time.

He informed that more than 300 artists will join the Republic Day during this period. All artists have been subjected to corona test. The cast will be included in the ceremony only if the test report comes out negative.

โ€œThis time there will be a complete event with Corona guidelines. The viewership has been limited compared to last time. This has been reduced from one and a half lakh to 25 thousand, while the number of tableau has been increased,โ€ he told.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Defense Department, according to the information given, this time the tableaus of 15 states and 2 union territories will be shown. Ladakh (Vision of the future), Punjab (400th light year of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji), Delhi (Re-development), Uttar Pradesh (Cultural Heritage: Ayodhya), Uttarakhand (Kedarnath), Gujarat (Sun Temple, Modhera), Chhattisgarh ( Instrumental splendor of folk music), Maharashtra (saints of the state), Andhra Pradesh (Lepakshi – architectural monolithic miracle), Karnataka (Vijayanagar), Kerala (coir of coconut), Tamil Nadu (Shore temple and other monuments of Pallava dynasty), West Bengal, (Sabuj Sathi Yojana), Assam (Tea Species), Tripura (Environmentally Self-Reliant), Sikkim (Pang Labasol Utsav), and Arunachal Pradesh (East meets West).

There are tableaux of 9 ministries and departments along with the states. This time the Ministry of Labor will show improvement in labour laws made by converting 44 laws into four codes.

The Department of Biotechnology will display tableaux related to Kovid research programs and vaccine development under self-sufficient India. Six tableaux will be attached to the Ministry of Defense. Apart from this, the tableaux which are included are as follows.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Digital India, Atma Swarnibhar Bharat), Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (One Country-One Sign Language), Ministry of AYUSH (Ojo India, Tejo India), Central Reserve Police Force (a professional force with human sensitivity), Information And Ministry of Broadcasting (New India), Central Public Works Department (Amar Jawan) Ministry of Culture (75 years of independence).
