Rae Bareli, July 15: A sensational case of love-jihad has come to light in the district. While the condition of the poor working style of the police is such that after six months, the case has been registered on Monday. The case is being investigated.
Mo. Junaid trapped a 16-year-old girl studying in class 11, resident of Khoro of Kheeron police station area, in his love trap by posing as Janu Mishra. Then he tried to elope with the girl and her younger sister by luring them. Junaid failed to do so due to the promptness of the girl’s family. The girl’s father told that later due to Junaid’s threats, the girl committed suicide by hanging herself in her house on February 1 this year. When the father tried to file an FIR in the police station against Junaid, who was responsible for this, the police did not register the case.
On the other hand, the victim’s father and younger sister kept getting threats from the accused’s family. Now, under pressure from Hindu organizations, the police have registered a case. However, the victim’s father says that the police have only done a formality by filing a case under minor sections. There is anger among Hindu organizations over this lax attitude of the police. The victim’s family and Hindu organizations demand that a case be registered against the accused under stringent sections and he be arrested immediately.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered under relevant sections and the accused will be arrested soon.
