Rain wreaks havoc in Uttar Pradesh, all schools remain closed in Lucknow today

Lucknow, 11 September: It has been raining heavily in many districts of Uttar Pradesh since Sunday night. Rain continues in Lucknow on Monday also. Keeping in mind the warning of the Meteorological Department, District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar has ordered the closure of all schools up to class 12th of all the boards on September 11 (Monday).

A letter in this regard has been issued from the District Magistrate’s office on Monday. It has been said that the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rain with lightning. However, the rain that started from Sunday night is not showing any signs of stopping. This trend continues on Monday also. Due to rain, many areas of the city have been flooded. People are safe at home.

Taking cognizance of the warning given by the Meteorological Department, the District Magistrate has closed all the board schools in rural and urban areas of the city till Monday. It has also been said in the letter that all schools should strictly follow this order.

It is noteworthy that it has been raining since Sunday night and is continuing on Monday also. Due to this, the maximum temperature in Lucknow and surrounding districts is likely to be 31 degrees and minimum 25 degrees Celsius.

There will be rain on 12, 13, and 14 September

The information given by Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow. Based on that, there will be intermittent rain on Monday morning. There is every possibility of thunder and celestial flashes at one or two places even at night.

Thunderstorm and lightning is expected at one or two places across Uttar Pradesh on September 12, 13, and 14. On September 15, there is a possibility of rain and thunder at many places in UP West and UP East. There is a possibility of rain at some places in Purvanch. Similar weather was seen on 16th September also.
