Ayodhya, 4 Aug: According to a trust member, the consecration event would take place at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 21, 22, and 23 of next year.
The members of the trust had previously stated that they will issue an official invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the occasion.
“The Ram Janmabhoomi consecration ceremony will take place in the third week of January of next year. The consecration event has been set for January 21, 22, and 23. We plan to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the ceremony, which will also include prominent sadhus and other dignitaries,” Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said.
“The main event would be kept politically neutral. Guests from various political parties will also be invited, if they intend to attend. “There will be no stage in the programme, nor will there be any public meetings,” he remarked. For the celebration, the organisation intends to invite approximately 25,000 Hindu religious leaders from 136 Sanatan traditions.
The temple trust is compiling a list of such saints, and an invitation letter with the signature of trust president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das would be delivered to them soon, he added. “The trust intends to house all prominent saints in Ayodhya’s large monasteries,” Rai stated. These 25,000 saints will be distinct from the 10,000 “special guests” who will attend the consecration event within the Ram Janmabhoomi premises.
Due to the COVID-19 rules, the Bhoomi Pujan programme for the temple was performed on a very restricted scale on August 5, 2020.
“Ramlala’s sanctum sanctorum is nearing completion. Preparation for the grand event of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ is in full swing now in the month of January,” said Anil Misra, a temple trust member. The trust intends to serve free refreshments to worshippers attending the consecration event in Ayodhya for nearly a month. The trust, according to Rai, would feed 75,000-1,000,000 people every day for the whole month of January.
