Ramotsav 2024: ‘Ram Jyoti’ to be lit in every establishment in UP

Ayodhya, 12 Jan: Yogi Government is preparing to celebrate the life consecration event of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya like a festival in the entire state. The people of the state are also being encouraged for this.

In this sequence, after the Pran Pratistha on January 22, there is a plan to celebrate Deepotsav on a large scale at night.

This festival of lights will be many times bigger than the festival of lights organized in Ayodhya on the festival of Diwali. In this, lamps will be lit on the banks of all rivers including Saryu, temples, historical and mythological places as well as in every house, shop, institute and establishment. The flame of these lamps has been named Ram Jyoti.

In such a situation, the Yogi government has appealed to all the people of the state to celebrate the festival of Deepotsav by lighting the Ram Jyoti not only in their homes but also in their offices and shops.

The environment should be filled with Ram. Ram devotees not only in the state but in the country and the entire world are very excited about the program of Praan Pratishtha. After 500 years of struggle, Lord Ram is going to sit in his temple with full glory. The double engine government has appealed to celebrate this historic occasion like a festival in the entire country. After Pran Pratistha, every citizen has been asked to light a lamp in their house at night. The flame lit from these lamps is being called Ram Jyoti.

In this sequence, now an appeal has been made by the Yogi government that the people of the state should not only light lamps in their homes but also in shops, business establishments (hotels, factories, plants etc.) Deepotsav should also be organized at offices (government and private) and mythological and historical places. Such aura should be spread through Ram Jyoti that the entire atmosphere becomes filled with Ram. An atmosphere of devotion should be created like it is on Diwali or any other festival. Yogi government is continuously encouraging all the people of the state regarding this.

People will be able to perform green fireworks. In the instructions issued by Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra to all the department heads, it has been said that on the evening of January 22, a program of Deepotsav should be organized in every house, ghat and temple. By motivating people, Ram Jyoti should be lit in every home, institutions and business establishments also.

Not only this, special lighting arrangements should be made in all the offices of the state from January 22nd to 26th. People can also make special lighting arrangements in their homes. Apart from this, all government buildings, schools, colleges should also be decorated like a bride.

Apart from this, instructions have also been given that Deepotsav will be organized at Saryu Ghat in Ayodhya and after this green firework will be arranged. Yogi government is promoting green crackers on the festival. In such a situation, people across the state will be able to burn green crackers on this historic occasion, which will once again illuminate the entire state like Diwali.

Organization of Ram Sankirtan in Temple: The Chief Secretary has also directed the Basic Education, Secondary Education and Higher Department to declare January 22 as a public holiday in all schools and colleges. Along with this, orders have also been given to keep liquor shops closed in the entire state on January 22. Ayodhya has been ordered to organize Ram Sankirtan etc. in every temple for a whole week from January 16 to January 22 and to telecast the program live.

CS also asked to arrange 50 additional screens and digital boards, to broadcast the program live by installing screens in the temples of the entire state, to run a special cleanliness campaign in all the cities and villages through the Urban Development and Panchayati Raj Department between January 14 and 21.
