Uttarkashi, 28 November: The rescue operation to save the 41 workers who were trapped inside the Silkyara-Barkot tunnel in Uttarkashi continued on Tuesday, with the help of rat-hole mining experts who were called in to assist with the manual drilling through the rubble.
As of Monday evening, the damaged auger drilling machine had been completely removed and a steel pipe was inserted into the partially completed escape tunnel.
