Restaurants, bars to re-open soon in Maharashtra, assures Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai, September 28: In Maharashtra, hotels, restaurants and bars may get permission to re-open from October next month after six month of inactivity.

The Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, after a meeting with restaurants and hotels businessmen, has assured.

The Chief Minister said that the Maharashtra government has prepared guidelines for re-opening the restaurants, bars and eatery outlets and it has been sent to all concerned. After it is finalized the next decision will be taken to start the eating joints in the state.

The Chief Minister said these things while talking to the representatives of restaurant business organizations of Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nagpur.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has started the campaign ‘My family, my responsibility’. Corona warriors have also been affected due to Corona. Unfortunately many Corona warriors have also died. Therefore, all subjects are beginning with utmost care, responsibility and understanding.

Thakeray said that effective medicines of Corona have not been available so far. The world will have to proceed with caution with Corona. We have taken several steps to take responsibility for financial matters. So far many transactions were closed, now starting one by one. Tax revenue has also been affected by the closure of the business.

“The state government is yet to get several thousand crores of GST on the central government. Coming out of all these financial difficulties, we are trying to organize the situations with limitations and responsibilities. It is necessary to make lifestyle changes,” added CM.

 The Chief Minister said that 80 percent of people affected by coronavirus do not show symptoms. Such people can spread the corona virus. SOP adherence, hygiene, safety, adherence to physical differences is an important responsibility of restaurant drivers. Whoever considers Maharashtra as their family, they will have to participate in it responsibly.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Home Sitaram Kunte said that all restaurant businessmen should meet once and finalize the SOP.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of Tourism Department Valsa Nair Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vikas Kharge and representatives of the Hotel and Restaurant Organization.
