The central government has said that Rohingyas cannot be treated on par with Tibetan and Sri Lankan refugees. The Central Government has said that there is a limit to the powers of the Supreme Court and it cannot undermine the powers of the Parliament by crossing that limit.
The petition has been filed by Priyali Sur. The petition demands the release of the detained Rohingyas. In the petition, Sur cited the refugees from Tibet and Sri Lanka and demanded that the government should treat the Rohingyas in the same way.
