New Delhi, 13 February: Nearly fifty lakh rupees have been collected within two days to help the family of slain Rinku Sharma, who was allegedly killed in an attack by violent Muslim mob in an outer Mangolpuri area of the capital Delhi.

Meanwhile, the social workers who launched a drive of collection of fund for victim’s family, have set a target of collecting one crore rupees for the family.

Two social activists of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Vaishali Poddar and Kapil Mishra, started the campaign on Friday through online organization Crowd Cash. A month has been kept for fundraising, and people associated with social media took this campaign very aggressively and collected about 50 lakh rupees in two days.

Kapil Mishra has been running such campaigns in the past to help people financially.

He said that the family which loses its earning member breaks due to financial difficulties. It is the responsibility of the society to help such a family.

He said that Rinku Sharma was a Hindu youth; hence Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal cannot be expected to provide financial help to the family.

Film actress Kangana Ranaut also took sarcasm at Kejriwal in a tweet, saying hope you will also go to Rinku Sharma’s house and help the family. Kangana posted an old tweet by Kejriwal in which he said he is going to Ikhlaq’s house, a victim of violence.
