Rs 500 cr Noida’s twin-towers go down in 9 sec

Noida/Lucknow, 28 August: Illegal Twin Towers of Supertech constructed in Sector-93 of Noida were demolished at 2:30 pm on Sunday with a blast of 3,700 kg of explosives. It took about 12 seconds for this 32-storey building to collapse.

The safety norms were strictly followed during the demolition process. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that in the entire process of demolishing the towers, the safety of the people residing in the adjoining residential complex should be ensured at all costs, environmental standards should also be taken care of. Preparations had already been made for the demolition.

660 apartments of Emerald Court and 762 flats of ATS Village were evacuated on the morning of August 28. It is estimated that about 80,000 tonnes of debris will be generated due to demolition. This debris will be disposed of in the next three months as per the fixed timeline. Nearby people were given alternative arrangements for vehicle parking.
