Lucknow, February 25: To reach out to the students of Uttar Pradesh trapped in Ukraine; the state government has issued a helpline number along with posting a nodal officer.
The state government has also issued an e-mail IDs for those stranded in Ukraine. Along with this, there is also an appeal to them to follow the advisory of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Indian Embassy.
In the order issued by Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, it has been said that in view of the emergency situation arising in Ukraine, all commercial flights to and from Ukraine are closed. Ukraine’s airspace is also closed. The Embassy of India, Kiev, is striving to provide all possible help to all Indians (Indian students and others) present in Ukraine. The helpline is being operated by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy of India in Ukraine.
Along with this, Relief Commissioner Ranvir Prasad has been designated as the nodal officer by the State Government to coordinate with the MEA and the Embassy of India, Kiev, to provide assistance to the students of Uttar Pradesh and other people who are currently in Ukraine.
The Nodal Officer, in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy of India, will arrange for the return of students and other people from Uttar Pradesh to Ukraine. The toll free helpline number of the state control room has also been issued by the government. This number is 0522, 1070 and mobile number – 9454441081.
Apart from this, the e-mail id will be rahat@nic.in. Along with this, the state government has also appealed to the people of Uttar Pradesh present in Ukraine to follow the advisory issued by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy from time to time.
