Sale of liquor at ’84 Kosi Parikrama Marg’ in Ayodhya banned, existing alcohol shops to be removed

Ayodhya, 28 December: The sale of liquor has been completely banned in the ’84 Kosi Parikrama Marg’ of Ayodhya. All liquor shops located in Parikrama area will be removed. This liquor ban will remain only on 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg.

Meanwhile, ban on the sale of alcohol has already been implemented in Shri Ram Temple area.

State Excise and Prohibition Minister of State (Independent Charge) Nitin Aggarwal told journalists on Wednesday evening that liquor ban has already been implemented in Shri Ram Temple area. Now liquor will not be sold even in the 84 Kosi Parikrama area. Necessary instructions have been given for this. He said that instructions have been given to remove liquor shops in 84 Kosi Parikrama areas. Some shops have also been removed.

It is worth mentioning that ’84 Kosi Parikrama’ passes through five districts: Basti, Gonda, Ayodhya, Barabanki and Ambedkarnagar. NH-28, NH-27, NH-135 and NH-330 lie on the parikrama path. There are more than 600 liquor shops in this area which will now be removed.

It is noteworthy that preparations for the consecration of Ram Lalla (infant form of Lord Ram) are going on in full swing in Ayodhya. Due to this, there is a gathering of state ministers as well as top officials in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to the consecration ceremony.

Before consecration, on December 30, Prime Minister Modi will come to Ayodhya to inaugurate Marayada Purushottam Shri Ram Airport. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reached Ayodhya today to review the preparations ahead of Prime Minister’s visit.
