This year’s much-awaited film ‘Sikandar’ has finally released in theaters today on March 30, i.e. on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri. However, even before the release, the filmmakers got a big shock when the news of ‘Sikandar’ being leaked on many pirated sites arrived.
According to a report, it has been leaked on more than 600 sites. Both the makers and fans are worried about the news of the film being leaked.
Reacting to the film being leaked, famous trade analyst Komal Nahta wrote on X, “A film getting leaked before its theatrical release is like a nightmare for any producer. Unfortunately, this is what happened with Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Sikandar’. The makers of the film requested the authorities on Saturday night itself to remove it from six hundred sites, but by then the damage had been done.” Filmmakers are now taking strict measures against piracy and are trying their best to stop it.
It is not new for a film to fall prey to piracy as soon as it is released. Often, news of films getting leaked keeps coming out as soon as they hit the theaters. This happens with almost every film now. However, Salman Khan’s much-awaited film ‘Sikandar’ fell prey to piracy even before its release, which proved to be a big blow for the producers. The film’s leak on more than 600 sites resulted in a loss of crores of rupees. Filmmakers are now trying their best to remove it, but leaking before release is definitely a matter of concern.
The film ‘Sikandar’ is directed by famous filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss, who made the blockbuster film ‘Ghajini’ with Aamir Khan. This time he has presented Salman Khan in a powerful avatar. In this film, the pair of Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna is seen on the big screen for the first time. Interestingly, recently Salman had revealed that he did not know much about Rashmika Mandanna before ‘Sikander’. The film also features brilliant actors like Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj and Sharman Joshi in supporting roles.
