The moviegoers had high expectations from Salman Khan’s film ‘Sikandar’. However, this year Salman’s magic seems to be fading at the box office. Even after 7 days of release, ‘Sikandar’ has not yet joined the club of Rs 100 crores.

Apart from this, the film has not been able to recover even half of its original budget. This shows that ‘Sikandar’ flopped at the box office.

Salman Khan was going to return to the box office with ‘Sikandar’ after one and a half years. Therefore, fans expected that this film would have a great opening on the first day itself. However, the film earned only Rs 26 crore on the first day. This revenue is very low considering the number of viewers ‘Sikandar’ got across the country. It is seen that the earnings of ‘Sikandar’ are decreasing day by day.

Despite a big festival like Eid, the film collected only Rs 29 crore. After this, the film’s earnings came down to Rs 19.5 crore on the third day. On the fourth day, this figure fell to 9.75 crores, on the fifth day to 6 crores and on the seventh day to just Rs 3.75 crores. It is clear that after the initial enthusiasm, the pace of the film has been continuously slowing down, which has become a matter of concern for the makers.

On the 7th day, the film earned only Rs 3.75 crore, taking its total earnings to Rs 97.50 crore. In comparison, Salman’s previous film ‘Tiger 3’ had done a business of Rs 219.4 crore on the seventh day itself. ‘Sikandar’ has not yet reached even 100 crores, which is considered a big setback for a superstar like Salman.

Salman Khan’s Sikandar stars Salman Khan, Rashmika, late actress Smita Patil’s son Prateik Babbar, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Kishore and Sanjay Kapoor in important roles. This film is directed by AR Murugadoss.
