School vehicle collided with barrier in Lucknow, injuring 6 pupils

Lucknow, August 9: Six kids were injured on Friday morning after their school vehicle collided

with a barrier on Shaheed Path here.

Tej Swaroop Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), stated that about 7.30 a.m., a

school van’s tire blew out and slammed with a barrier near a popular mall in

the Sushant Golf City Police Station area, injuring two pupils seriously. “There

were 12 students in the van, and six of them were injured; four were taken to

Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, and two to a private hospital,” Singh added.

A nine-year-old girl brought to a private hospital is in severe condition and

being treated in the intensive care unit. The remaining pupils had minor

injuries, he added. The van’s driver was apprehended, and a complaint was filed

against him, according to the DCP.
