Lucknow, May 19: In view of the Lok Sabha elections, Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in the state capital Lucknow.
After this, action will be taken against spreading any kind of rumor in the elections, putting wrong information on social media or channels, any kind of demonstration, display or use of weapons, gathering of crowd at any public place in the city.Â
Section 144 has been implemented from today till July 16. In which the landlord will have to get verification from the police before keeping tenants in any part of the city.
Similarly, people driving e-rickshaw will also have to get their verification done. All the information is being given from the website of Lucknow Police for verification. There will be a ban on any kind of crowd around the polling stations on the voting day i.e. 20th May. Vehicles will be parked at some distance from the polling station. Vehicles will be able to move except on some restricted routes in the city. In order to ensure safe conduct of voting, Lucknow Police will keep a vigil on all activities.
