Delhi, 13 December: The breach of security in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday was a shocking incident that occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the terrorist attack on Parliament.

As members were leaving the House after paying floral tributes to those who had lost their lives defending it, two intruders jumped into the chamber and sprayed an unknown substance.

According to Shiv Sena lawmaker Arvind Sawant, this caused mild irritation and the intruders did not speak or raise slogans. The incident caused the House to be adjourned until 2 pm, with Parliament security quickly cordoning off the area.

He informed that it was later revealed that the intruders had jumped from a visitor’s gallery and one of them had even taken out a chit from his shoe. No injuries were reported and the perpetrators were immediately caught.
