Prayagraj, August 08: A private security guard accused in the brutally beating of an elderly woman at Swarooprani Nehru Hospital (SNH) was arrested on Saturday. However, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against him on Friday evening.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abhishek Dixit informed that an elderly woman was beaten up by security personnel Sanjay Mishra, a resident of Kundhiyara, who was posted at the main entrance of the Trauma Center at Swarooprani Nehru Hospital.
โThe elderly woman was alone and her mental condition was also not well. She was pleading for help. Security guard was seen kicking the woman, shaming humanity. During this time a doctor made a video of it and went viral on social media,โ SSP quoted.
Dixit added further, after this, taking cognizance of the case, the hospital administration dismissed him from service and informed the police. Police registered a case in this regard and arrested the accused today and sent him to court.
