Lucknow, 11 February: Senior IPS Ajay Raj Sharma, who was the foundation stone of UP STF in Uttar Pradesh, passed away in Noida. Ajay Raj Sharma, a 1966 batch IPS, was ill for a long time. He was around 80 years old.
The STF team formed for the encounter of notorious gangster Shriprakash Shukla in Uttar Pradesh was led by senior IPS Ajay Raj. Apart from this, many famous dacoits and criminals of the state were also encountered under the leadership of Ajay Raj.
Senior IPS Ajay Raj Sharma, a native of Mirzapur district of UP, did his graduation from Allahabad University and after becoming an IPS, his tenure is known as the best tenure. Nowadays Ajay Raj used to impart technical knowledge to new IPS.
