Lucknow, 29 December: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the work of the CM Fellowship Programme research scholars on Thursday, noting that 86 development blocks in Uttar Pradesh have reached the state average in just eight months. He also advised setting up bank camps for self-employment generation in villages.
In an interaction programme with the research scholars posted in 100 aspirational blocks of the state under the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme, the CM said, “Till March 2022, 99 development blocks in the state lagged behind the state average; currently, only 13 do. This has been made possible by the diligent work of the Chief Minister Fellowship Programme researchers.?
Researchers should pay special attention to self-employment generation in villages. For this, bank camps should be organized at the Gram Panchayat level, he added.
Stating that there are limitless possibilities in Uttar Pradesh, the CM remarked, ?When the research scholars are in the field, they can take forward their program by maintaining better communication with the officials and the people. This will yield meaningful results.?
Throughout the interaction, the CM learned about the challenges in the field of work. CM Yogi said: ?In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aspirational districts, the state’s aspirational development blocks have been chosen. These researchers have started a good effort. The government frequently runs into issues as a result of not gathering the data. After finishing their work each day, these researchers upload the data. This is facilitating data collection.?
According to CM Yogi, accurate data must be submitted in order to advance systems in education, health, skill, infrastructure, and other areas. ?Run the programme while considering the development block’s requirements.?
He said that to benefit the farmers, we must lower the cost of farming while raising the output. Farmers should be informed about drone training for spraying pesticide. To provide employment to the youth, skill development camps should be organized in every development block.
Asserting that in some schemes of the state government, these research scholars have performed well from April to November. Schemes such as Ayushman Bharat cards, toilets and drinking water in schools, cow shelters, Mission Indradhanush and many others are now moving forward with greater speed in aspirational development blocks.
He stated that Gram Sachivalayas have been built in the majority of the state’s gram panchayats, with seating for banking shikhis, rojgar sewaks, and computer operators. Also, under Mission Shakti, women beat police are also instructed to sit once a week.
The CM said that the researchers should make extensive tours and public contact in the district. ?Collect people’s feedback on plans by coordinating.?
In order to encourage the researchers, he assured them that three to four years from now, when their work in these aspirational development blocks would be assessed, the better performing researchers would be offered an age relaxation if they would want to work for the government.
During the interaction with the CM, the researchers said that serving society made them happy.
Seema Giri, a research scholar posted in Najibabad block of Bijnor district, said: ?I feel good to be serving the society. We have worked on cleanliness, skill development and rural health nutrition mission in our block and the positive results of our efforts are visible now.?
Moazzam Ahmed Khan, posted in Santha block of Sant Kabir Nagar district, said that he has worked among Anganwadi workers in 15 gram panchayats. ?During this, I gave information about prompt diagnosis and care for expectant mothers.?
Upkarinath Tripathi, posted in Rampur block of Jaunpur, said, ?After getting the posting, I informed the people about the schemes being run by the government in my block. In the remote areas of our block, there were a lot of problems caused by small errors in Aadhaar cards. Taking this on priority, I have fixed the errors in the Aadhaar cards of 480 people.?
