Many actresses in Bollywood have played the role of mother of actors older than them. In the recent film ‘Jawaan’, 39 year old Riddhi Dogra played the role of 57 year old Shahrukh Khan’s mother. One such actress, Shefali Shah, played the role of Akshay’s mother in the film ‘Waqt’.
Now Shefali said in a public program that now she will never play the role of Akshay’s mother.

I am not saying this because it feels good to hear such an answer, but it is true. I worked with a director and actor who were very mean. Also, I have worked with all the directors who feel that actors are collaborators, not just actors.
Shefali said on stage, ‘I promise that I will never play the role of Akshay Kumar’s mother in my life.’
Actually, Shefali played the role of Akshay Kumar’s mother in the 2005 film ‘Waqt: The Race Against Time’. At that time she was five years younger than Akshay. At that time Shefali was 32 years old, while Akshay was 37 years old. The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan who was 63 years old in 2005 and played Akshay Kumar’s father and Priyanka Chopra.
