SHO Indirapuram, Kanawani outpost head suspended in international watch brand heist in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, August 12: In the case of theft of watches worth three crores from an international brand on Saturday night in Indirapuram police station area, Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra on Monday suspended Indirapuram Inspector in charge Jitendra Kumar Dixit and Kanawani Chowki in charge Lalchand Kanaujia. Two more teams of sharp police officers have been formed with the aim of arresting the robbers soon.

DCP Nimish Patil apprised on the case that after taking immediate action against both of them, teams have been engaged in identifying the gang and finding clues. The thieves had stolen watches worth about three crores by breaking the shutter of Sai Creation watch showroom of a branded company located in Ahinsa Khand 2 of Ghaziabad. The theft incident was captured in the CCTV camera.

As per the DCP, seven to eight thieves were seen in the CCTV. The showroom manager informed the police about the incident. Showroom manager Nakul Sharma said that he had closed the showroom late at night and left. When he came in the morning, the shutter of the showroom was broken. When he checked the cameras, all the stuff inside the showroom was scattered.

He informed the local police about the incident. After this, senior police officials also inspected the crime scene closely.
