New Delhi, June 11: According to reports, the Delhi Police have requested female wrestlers who filed a sexual harassment complaint against Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to show photos, videos, or WhatsApp chat messages to back up their claims.

Police officers have also attempted to obtain evidence on their own. On complaints, police filed a CrPC 91 notice, which provides investigating officers the authority to request any material pertinent to the inquiry, and ordered them to turn over whatever evidence they had.

According to Bajrang Punia, the demonstrators do not believe the police probe. He said that an attempt was made to “shield” the BJP MP, and that his absence from jail is impeding the probe.
