Siblings beaten to death over parking issue in UP

Kanpur, 6 Oct: Police said on Friday that two brothers were reportedly beaten to death and four family members were critically injured during a disagreement over parking at their land in Kanpur Dehat’s Shahjahanpur Ninayan hamlet.

Six people were slain on October 2 over a land dispute in Fatehpur village of Rudrapur region in Deoria district, including five members of a family.

According to BBGTS Murthy, Superintendent of Police (Kanpur Dehat), the latest incident occurred Thursday night when Mohan Shukla placed his pick-up loader near Ramveer Lohar’s land. Ramveer had left construction materials on the site and ordered Shukla not to park his vehicle, resulting in an incident.

Following this, Shukla and his family reportedly attacked Ramveer alias Daroga (60), his brother Satyanarain Lohar (72) and their family members with sticks, roads, and an axe, injuring six people, according to the SP.

All of the injured were transported to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Gajner before being transferred to the Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital in Kanpur. Satyanarain and Ramveer died as a result of their injuries while being treated at the LLR Hospital, according to the SP.

According to the SP, a case has been registered at the Gajner police station based on a complaint from the victims’ relatives, and sections connected to murder are being added.

Anjani Shukla, his brother Mohan Shukla, and his wife Priya Shukla have all been apprehended by police. In this case, Mohan Shukla’s elderly mother has also been imprisoned. According to the SP, numerous police teams have been dispatched to apprehend the fugitive accused.
