Mumbai, March 20: Politics intensified in Maharashtra on Thursday over the death of late film actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Disha Salian. Due to strong allegations and counter-allegations in this case, the work of both the houses of the legislature had to be adjourned for some time on Thursday.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Yogesh Kadam said that the SIT investigation of this case is underway and the report will be presented in the House when it comes.

This morning, the ruling party MLAs had protested by sitting on the stairs of the Vidhan Bhavan regarding this matter.

When the proceedings of the Assembly started, BJP MLA Amit Satam said that Disha Salian’s father has filed a petition in the High Court demanding an NIA investigation into this matter. Disha Salian has named Shiv Sena UBT MLA Aditya Thackeray in this case. SIT has been formed to investigate this matter. Its report has not come yet.

After Satam, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane also demanded the arrest of Aditya Thackeray in this case. After this, there was a ruckus in the House, due to which Speaker Rahul Narvekar adjourned the proceedings of the House for ten minutes.

Shiv Sena Shinde group MLA Manisha Kayande raised this issue in the Legislative Council and said that Aditya Thackeray’s name is coming up in the Disha Salian case, so Aditya Thackeray should be arrested and investigated. After this, BJP Legislature Party leader Praveen Darekar supported Manisha Kayande’s demand. Shiv Sena MLA Anil Parab and Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve said that the matter is in court, whatever order the court gives will be followed.

On this, the ruling party MLAs started making noise, due to which the proceedings of the Legislative Council were adjourned for ten minutes.

In the Vidhan Bhavan premises, Aditya Thackeray said that this matter is sub judice in the High Court. Whatever order the court gives, I will follow it. Aditya Thackeray said that this matter is being raised deliberately to defame him. NCP SP MLA Rohit Pawar said that the matter of five years ago is being raised suddenly today to divert attention from other issues, while he personally knows that Aditya Thackeray cannot do this.

Congress MLA Nana Patole said that the most important issue in the state is that of farmers, but the issue of Disha Salian is being raised to divert attention from this important issue. When the investigation of this matter was going on, MLA Nitesh Thackeray, who raised his voice loudly on this matter, did not appear before the investigating officers. If he had evidence, he should have given it to the investigating officers.

Shiv Sena spokesperson and MP Sanjay Raut said that yesterday the Aurangzeb case has turned against the government, so today suddenly to divert people’s attention, a five-year-old case is being raised to defame the Thackeray family.
