SP MLA Dara Singh Chauhan resigns from UP Assembly

Lucknow, 15 July: Dara Singh Chauhan, a Samajwadi Party MLA from Ghosi in the Mau district of Uttar Pradesh, resigned from the assembly on Saturday.

In a statement, Uttar Pradesh Assembly Principal Secretary Pradeep Dubey stated Chauhan presented his resignation letter to Speaker Satish Mahana.

“I Dara Singh Chauhan, a member of the current Legislative Assembly from 354-Ghosi in Mau district, tender resignation from membership in the Legislative Assembly,” Chauhan wrote in his resignation letter.

Chauhan joined the Samajwadi Party in January last year after resigned from the cabinet of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
