Lucknow, 09 June: After free ration and maintenance allowance, the Yogi government is going to give another gift to the weak income group during the Corona period. A special inoculation drive campaign is going to kick off from June 14 across Uttar Pradesh for labourers, poor and daily wage earners.
Under this campaign, the hawkers, street vendors, horsemen and auto, tempo, rickshaw drivers, vegetables, fruits and milk sellers will be vaccinated on priority basis.
Through this special vaccination campaign, where the Yogi government is going to provide vaccine security cover to lakhs of people engaged in daily employment on a priority basis to protect them from corona, its plan is usually for this category of people who come in direct contact. Vaccination is to strengthen UP’s fight against Corona.
According to the guidelines issued on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has specially instructed to run a vaccine campaign for these daily wage workers who come in direct contact with people every day. According to the plan, two vaccination booths will be set up in each district for drivers, RTO offices and street vendors in municipal or municipal offices.
At the same time, under the campaign, special centres of vaccines will be set up for the vendors of vegetables and milk and for those who run autos. The vaccine centres will be equipped with emergency medical facilities including ambulances. UP is the first state in the country to start the scheme of special vaccination campaign for the economically weaker sections.
According to the guidelines issued by the Health Department, at least 100 commercial vehicle drivers (bus, taxi auto rickshaw and e-rickshaw drivers) and bus conductors will be given vaccine doses every day at the RTO office in each district. For this, two booths with a capacity of 50 people each will be set up. Of these, one will be for people above 45 years and the other for people between 18 and 44 years.
This workplace will work like CBC. According to the information of the concerned office at the booths, the registered commercial vehicle drivers will be given the vaccine on priority basis.
At the same time, 02 street vendorsโ booths will be set up in municipal corporations in metros and municipal offices in other cities. At these booths, at least 100 street vendors, fruit-vegetable vendors and rickshaw-cart drivers will be given the vaccine every day. For this, two booths with a capacity of 50 people each will be made.
A government spokesperson apprised that preparations have been started for this campaign at the state level.
Significantly, the Yogi government is also running a special vaccination campaign for the age group of 18 to 44 years across the state. At the same time, along with providing free ration to 15 crore people of weaker income group, it is also giving maintenance allowance.
