New Delhi, September 18: Before the beginning of the special session of Parliament on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this is a session of historic decisions.

Before the beginning of the special session, Prime Minister Modi told the media outside the Parliament House, “At this time, we are all feeling an atmosphere of enthusiasm and a new confidence in the entire country. At the same time, this session of Parliament is taking place. This session is short. But it is very big in terms of time. This is a session of historic decisions. The speciality of this session is that the journey of 75 years is now starting from a new place.”

The Prime Minister requested that all the members give maximum time to this short Parliament session. He said, “I request all the MPs to make the most of our time during this short session. While there is a lot of time to cry, there are moments that fill us with joy and faith.” “That’s the way I’m looking at this session.”

PM Modi highlighted the success of India’s Moon mission and the G20 meeting in his pre-session remarks to the media.

He said that the success of Moon Mission Chandrayaan-3 is hoisting our tricolour. Shiv Shakti Point (the landing site of Chandrayaan-3) has become a new centre of inspiration, filling us with pride. Throughout the world, this type of achievement is seen to be linked to modernity, science, and technology, and when this potential comes before the world, then many possibilities and many opportunities stand at our doorstep.

Referring to the successful organisation of the G20, the Prime Minister said that the unprecedented success of the G20, the welcoming of leaders from across the world at more than 60 venues, brainstorming, and a live experience of the federal structure in true spirit reflected India’s diversity and India’s speciality. The G20 became a festival in itself.

India will always be proud of being the voice of the Global South at the G20. Permanent membership in the African union and the unanimous declaration of the G20?all these things indicate a bright future for India.

Referring to the inauguration of the International Convention Centre in Dwarka, Delhi, on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that yesterday Yashobhoomi was dedicated to the nation. Yesterday itself, on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, PM Vishwakarma Yojana was launched for training, modern tools, and economic management of the Vishwakarma community.

Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said during the special session of Parliament on Monday that the proceedings of Parliament will be shifted to the new building on September 19.
