Srinagar, 28 April: The Srinagar-Kargil highway has been closed once again due to fresh snowfall.

Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road connecting Ladakh with Kashmir Valley has been closed for traffic due to fresh snowfall. It may be noted that the road was partially opened for traffic on Thursday after remaining closed for 11 days due to an avalanche at Zojila Pass.

The road closure again affected traffic in the area, with commuters being advised to find alternate routes. Officials are working hard to clear the snow and reopen the road at the earliest but the process is expected to take some time.
