CM Yogi expressed displeasure over the officers playing games in the investigation of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department
Lucknow, 28 October: The Yogi government is constantly tightening the noose on corruption under the ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’. Along with this, strict action is also being taken against the officers who are negligent in their work. Under this, the Yogi government has instructed the investigating officers of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department to clarify the report of the officer and employee coming under the scope of investigation.
The Chief Minister has instructed the officers not to mention the words ‘partially proved the allegation’ in the investigation report. The Chief Minister instructed to use clear words like ‘allegation correct’ or ‘found baseless’ in the investigation report so that action can be taken against the guilty officer and employee.
The Chief Minister has instructed to take strict action against the nominated investigating officer who does not do so.
Chief Minister Yogi recently reviewed the Irrigation and Water Department. During this, the officials informed about the report to be instituted by the nominated investigation officer for departmental and disciplinary action against the department’s negligent officers and employees. He told that in the investigation report, the nominated officer used the word ‘partially proved the charge’. He told Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that due to lack of clear allegations in the investigation report, there is often difficulty in taking action.
The Chief Minister has instructed the nominated officers of this investigation report not to use the word ‘partially proved the charge’ in the investigation report. He said that by using this word, the nominated investigation officer is trying to save the guilty somewhere, which will not be tolerated. At the same time, no such word is mentioned in the departmental rules. The Chief Minister said that if any investigating officer uses this word in his report in future, strict action will be taken against him.
After the instructions of the CM, action will be intensified against the guilty officer and employee.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the officers to clearly mention ‘the charge was found proved’ or ‘found baseless’ in the investigation report so that action can be taken against careless officers and employees.
Chief Minister Yogi’s displeasure has created a stir in the department. On this, the government has issued a GO to the department in a hurry and directed them to strictly follow the instructions. With this step of Chief Minister Yogi, the action against guilty officers and employees which has been pending for many years through technical terms will now be expedited.
