Sultanpur: Ancient lord Hanuman idol found during excavation

Sultanpur, April 12: During an excavation in a village of Kurebhar area, a crowd of devotees gathered after the unearthing of an ancient Shri Hanuman idol on Saturday. After cleaning and washing, worship began with chants of Lord Hanuman.

On Saturday, while digging a pit in front of Suresh Pandey’s house in Phulpur village of Kurebhar police station area, the shovel of the workers hit a hard object. When the workers called the owner and dug, they found the idol of Shri Hanuman.

On receiving the information, police station in-charge Sharadendu Dubey joined the people in removing the idol. After cleaning and bathing the idol of Bajrang Bali, worship was carried out.

On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, people are considering the appearance of his idol as a miracle. As soon as the news of discovery of lord Hanuman idol spread across the village, the crowd of devotees started reaching at an excavation site to pay obeisance to Lord Hanuman.
