New Delhi, April 17: Reacting to Pakistan’s abdication of responsibility from Mumbai terror attack convict Tahawwur Rana, the Foreign Ministry on Thursday said that no matter how much effort the neighbouring country makes, its image as a centre of global terrorism cannot improve. The extradition of Tahawwur Rana is the latest example of this.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a weekly press conference that this also shows that Pakistan should bring to justice the other people responsible for the Mumbai terror attack, whom it is sheltering.
On Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir’s statement regarding Kashmir, the spokesperson said that how can Indian territory be the lifeline of Pakistan. Kashmir is a federal territory of India. There is only one issue between the two countries that Pakistan should vacate the territory of India, which it has illegally occupied.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s army chief had recently said that his country can never abandon Kashmir. Kashmir is an important part of our existence.
