New Delhi, July 03: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that the Congress Party is the biggest opponent of the Constitution. The Congress Party has always put one family ahead in the Constitution and constitutional posts. This time if the election was to protect the Constitution, then the countrymen have found us capable to protect the Constitution. The countrymen have faith in us to protect the Constitution and the countrymen have given us the mandate to protect the Constitution.

Replying to the discussion on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha today, Prime Minister Modi said, “It does not suit the Congress to talk about the Constitution. These people had committed the sin of tearing apart dozens of articles, the soul of the Constitution. It does not suit them to talk about the Constitution, these are the people who have committed a sin.”

He said, “When we celebrate 26th November as Constitution Day, I am surprised that those who roam around with the copy of the Constitution and wave it around the world, had protested that 26th January is there, then why bring Constitution Day?”

Congress has been misusing investigation agencies, there is no interference from the present government-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi replied in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday on the allegations against investigation agencies. The Prime Minister said that Congress used to misuse the agencies. During the tenure of Congress, Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav had said in 2013 that Congress shows fear of CBI, misuses Income Tax. He put forth his point by giving other examples. He said that the Supreme Court had called CBI a caged parrot.

Taking the Congress to task on the issue of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal being in jail, the Prime Minister said that it was the Congress party which took the Aam Aadmi Party, involved in the liquor scam, to the court. Congress had given evidence against AAP in the liquor scam by holding a press conference. Congress should tell whether that press conference was fake.

He said, “AAP does liquor scam, AAP does corruption, AAP does scam in making classrooms for children, AAP does scam even in water, Congress complains against AAP, Congress drags AAP to court and if action is taken, abuses Modi.” Stop

adding fuel to the fire in Manipur –

He also responded to the issue of Manipur in the Upper House today. Yesterday, the opposition created a ruckus during the speech of another MP from Manipur in the Lok Sabha by making an issue of not allowing him to speak.

The Prime Minister said that there have been cases of ethnic violence in Manipur before as well. There is a long history of social conflict there. The mentality of this conflict has very deep roots. Congress people should not forget that due to these circumstances, President’s rule had to be imposed 10 times in this small state. This has not happened during our tenure. There must be some reason. Still, activities are being done there to take political advantage.

He said, “I want to warn all those elements who are trying to add fuel to the fire in Manipur to stop such activities. A time will come when Manipur itself will reject them.”

Around 11,000 cases have been registered on the current violence. 500 people have been arrested. Gradually, these violence incidents are decreasing. Schools and colleges are open in Manipur too. Examinations are being held. The central government and the state government are trying to open the way for harmony by talking to everyone.

Permanent efforts for peace in the Northeast-

Prime Minister Modi said that his government has made efforts for permanent peace in the Northeast. There is less discussion about them, but the results have been extensive. Border disputes between states have been going on since independence. We are solving them with the states. Today, permanent agreements are being made with organizations and armed gangs associated with violence. Those who have serious cases against them are getting ready to go to court. It is important to increase trust in the judiciary.

Those who spread lies do not have the strength to listen to the truth-

On the opposition’s walkout during his reply to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Modi said that the country is seeing that those who spread lies do not even have the strength to listen to the truth. Those who do not have the courage to face the truth, do not have the strength to listen to their answers after sitting and discussing so much. They are insulting the Upper House.

He told that the Home Minister went there and stayed there for several days. Officers are also going there continuously. Every possible effort is being made to solve the problem.

Those who play with the future of the youth will get strict punishment-

He once again assured the youth on the issue of paper leak. He said that he assures the youth of India that those who play with the future of the youth will get strict punishment. Actions are being taken for this. We wanted that there should be no politics on a sensitive issue like paper leak, but the opposition is used to it.

Farmer welfare in our government’s policies-

Targeting Congress on the issue of farmer loan waiver, the Prime Minister said that during their tenure, farmers’ loan waiver happened once in 10 years and so much noise was made about loan waiver of 60 thousand crores. Its beneficiaries were only three crore farmers. There was no mention of poor farmers in it. On the other hand, 10 crore farmers have benefited from our government’s scheme. We have given three lakh crores to the farmers. We have made every effort to strengthen every system for farmers from seed to market with very micro planning and we have made the system foolproof.

You will be happy if you say one-third government-

On calling the third term a one-third government, the Prime Minister retorted and said that those who say so will be happy. What can be a bigger truth than that we have completed 10 years, 20 more are left. One-third has been done, two-thirds are still left.

Work done for the disabled and transgender class-

The Prime Minister said that understanding the difficulties of Divyang brothers and sisters, we have worked towards their dignified life. In our society, for some reason, a neglected class is the transgender class. Our government has worked to make laws for transgender friends. People in the West are also surprised that India is so progressive. Our government has come forward to give opportunities to transgenders in Padma Awards as well.

Selective attitude of the opposition in atrocities against women-

The Prime Minister questioned the silence of the opposition on the public beating of a woman in West Bengal and said that the opposition has a selective attitude in atrocities against women.

Referring to the incident that took place in Chopra Block of West Bengal, he said that some time ago some pictures came on social media from West Bengal. In this, a woman is being beaten publicly on the road, that sister is screaming. The incident of Sandeshkhali is terrifying, but the big leaders whom he heard yesterday, did not even utter a word of pain. What could be a more embarrassing picture than this?

He said, “Those who call themselves progressive women are also sitting with their mouths shut. Because the incident is related to the party or state associated with their political life.”
