John Abraham’s film ‘The Diplomat’ was released in theaters on Holi on March 14. The film has received a good response from the audience and critics, but it has not been able to do that well at the box office. From the first day of its release, the film has been seen struggling at the ticket window.
However, from the 10th day of the film, there has been some improvement in its earnings, due to which it is expected that the film can gradually pick up its pace.
According to box office tracker Sacnilk, John Abraham’s film ‘The Diplomat’ did a business of Rs 2.75 crore on the 10th day of its release i.e. on the second Sunday. After this, the total box office collection of the film has reached Rs 25.65 crore. The film started its box office with Rs 4 crore. However, despite running at a slow pace, the film has crossed its budget. The budget of this film was Rs 20 crore and so far it has been successful in covering its expenses.
‘The Diplomat’ is the story of an Indian diplomat, starring John Abraham in the lead role. The film is directed by Shivam Nair, who is known for films like ‘Bhaag Johnny’ and ‘Naam Shabana’.
Apart from John, talented actors like Sadiya Khateeb, Kumud Mishra and Sharib Hashmi have also played important roles in this film. The story of the film revolves around an Indian diplomat who tries to bring back an Indian girl from Pakistan. John Abraham has played the role of Indian diplomat JP Singh in the film and in this role he has completely dominated the screen.
