The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha begins tomorrow

New Delhi, June 23: The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha is going to start from Monday. The newly elected- members will be sworn in on Monday and the next day the Speaker will be selected.

On Wednesday, there will be the President’s address on which there will be discussion and the Prime Minister will make a statement. The first session is till July 3 and after this, after a break of a few days, the budget session will be held.

As per tradition, the Prime Minister will address the media tomorrow at 10 am. During this time, the President will administer the oath to the Protem Speaker.

The Protem Speaker will hold a meeting of the House at 11 am. First, the Prime Minister and Leader of the House Narendra Modi, then the members of the panel formed to assist the Protem Speaker and then the Ministers will be sworn in as members of the House. After this, other members will be sworn in.

The next day the Speaker of the Lok Sabha will be selected. The next day there will be the President’s address. There will be a discussion in both the houses on the President’s address, to which the Prime Minister will reply.

After the completion of the first session of the Lok Sabha, the budget session will be held in a few days. In this, the Finance Minister will present the budget for the financial year 24-25.
